Tacoma Waldorf School
Our preschool has a three-day offering for two-and-a-half to three-year-olds, Tuesdays through Thursdays. We also offer a three-, four-, or five-day offering for three-and-a-half to four-year-olds, all of which start on Mondays. Both classes meet from 8:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.
Structured for two-and-a-half to four-and-a-half-year olds, the class provides the same home-like environment available in our kindergarten, but gives the younger child a special place to call their own. For many young children, preschool is a first opportunity to learn to play constructively with friends, developing important social skills like sharing and managing their emotions. The preschool classroom gives them the space to develop these skills in a place all their own before moving up to the four- and five-day kindergarten.
