Green Thumb Explorers is a program designed to engage and inspire children, offering a variety of topics relevant to today’s world. From seeds, soil and harvest to garden wildlife, from preservation and protection of the environment to a deeper understanding of nature, each Saturday workshop will offer a unique opportunity to explore Lakewold and work in the Children’s Garden.
Registration is open for children between the ages of 8 and 12. Saturday workshops begin at 10 am and last until 12:30 pm, and consist of a dedicated lesson, a related hands-on project and time outdoors (weather permitting) with time for a light snack and short break. Workshops are limited to 15 children per session; cost continues on a pay-what-you-can or donation basis.
