Barnes and Noble story time Most area stores offer a story time for children 2-5 at 11am. We do suggest confirming with yours as we have found participation to be inconsistent. It’s The President of the Jungle today. Many stores also have a baby story time on Sundays you may want to check out.

Celebrate poetry written by African American poets and explore the theme of nature and how it inspired the poets to express their love for the seasons, the oceans, the trees and flowers. The workshop will also include guided writing activities to help students write about their favorite things in nature.

Bring a friend to this 2-hour Valentine’s Day themed swim at Covington Aquatic Center on Saturday, February 15, 2020. This is event is for the entire family where guests can take on the inflatable octopus, play games, and win prizes. Drop-in admission is $5-per-pair of guests (accompanied children under the age of 4 are free). Arrive early to secure your space.

Wild Child Weekends is the perfect time to get your own kids close to nature at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, where two kids 12 or under get in FREE for every adult paying general admission at the front gate on weekends, Presidents’ Day and Feb. 29. Starts February 1st and runs through the 29th.
Feeling cabin fever? Northwest Trek is the best place to work out the winter wiggles. Ride a heated tram through our 435-acre Free-Roaming Area to spy moose and bison. Stretch your wings at Eagle Passage. Build a stick fort. Slide down a rope or climb a stump at Kids’ Trek. More here
