Home Depot kids club  It’s not showing up for me now, but show up before noon, and the kids *should* be able to build a tow truck. If they can’t, take a minute to sign up for the next one.

Michael’s Crafting Events 

See, “Kids’ Club,” for details. It’s a Happy Face jar today for 3.00 from 10am-12. There is also a sand art planter at 1pm; buy the jar and the supplies, for that one are provided. Check out their, “Camp creativity,” events, too!

New to us event; free airplane rides, aircraft displays, a bouncy house and local food are advertised.

Mary Olson Farm Open House Hours

Free admission during regular open hours (special events may charge).
A suggested donation of $5 per adult and $2 per child is greatly appreciated. The Farm will be open 12pm – 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays from June 22 – August 25, 2019. The Farmhouse is open to tour each day from 1 – 4pm. Quiet, unplugged outing

Visit the HCC Mast Center at Redondo The center and its touch tanks of sea critters are free and open to the public every Saturday from 10-2

Wire Wrapped Jewelry 101 at the Puyallup Public Library3-4pm Wind your way to wearable art! All materials supplied (or bring a favorite rock, shell or piece of sea glass) to create a custom pendant or earrings. Ages 8 and up– teens and adults are invited, too.

Tacoma/South Tacoma/Lakewood/Parkland

Nature walk at Swan Creek Park

10am Advance registration is now required for these popular, free walks lead by volunteer naturalists. Not suitable for strollers; perfect for ages 3 and up. Full? Sign up for a future event.

The Vernardos Circus is at Wright Park Family friendly, animal free circus with acrobats, jugglers, and more. Interactive pre-show party an hour before is a chance for games and selfies with the cast.

The main event lasts approximately 90 minutes, with a brief intermission. Attendees are encouraged to stay after the show to mingle with the performers and take group photos on stage with the cast for no additional charge. We’ve heard good things about this event from readers. You may want to check out their discount on Goldstar or see the same offer on Groupon

STEAM Saturdays at Mottet

2PM Join Ms. Elizabeth for some hands on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) programming. In these weekly hands on programs we will explore, build, and create fun and imaginative projects. All ages. 2-3PM

Drive-in movie at the LeMay America’s Car Museum

Notes from their fb-The Drive-In Movies have proven to be very popular, so be sure to arrive early to reserve your spot! Parking for the show starts at 4:30pm, with showtime at dusk (around 9pm). Drive-In movies are FREE to the public, but do not include Museum admission. Concessions are available. Watch from your car or a blanket/ chair. Movie shows on a 40 foot outdoor screen. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off tonight.

A Walk on the Moon: Children’s Planetarium Program

This interactive planetarium show is specially designed for our youngest visitors aged 3-12. Approximately 45 minutes. $6 for participating children. Adults get in free! You only need to reserve seats for children. Learn all about the moon!  Most Saturdays in July at 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm.

Family summer event at Bass Pro Shops

EVERY Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday (starting Saturday June 22nd) from 12pm – 4pm there will be free family fun activities, like the inflatable Daisy BB Range, and the S.A.F.E. Archery Inflatable Range, plus workshops with crafts (limited to first 40 kids each day).

Lacey/Olympia/Dupont 

Family fun day and West Central Park benefit

Family fun from 3-7pm followed by a benefit show. Crafts, bubbles, bird house painting (15.00 donation), and other fun.

Pierce College Science Dome – Infinity and Beyond at the DuPont Library 3-4pm
Learn about new astronomical discoveries, the night sky and exploring the universe with Physics and Astronomy Professor Hillary Stephens!

Family story time at the Olympia Farmer’s Market 11:00 AM

Music, movement, and books for the whole family. All ages welcome. Meet in front of the Market Garden. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Let’s Play are dynamic, interactive shows performed in our lobby and are suitable for ALL ages. They are between 20-30 minutes in length and perfect for the very youngest of audience members- toddlers, preschoolers and up. Giggles guaranteed. Lobby opens 30 minutes before the show. Admission:
$5 per person – CASH or CHECK at the door when you arrive.

Nature Nurture Farm Open Farm Day Make some animal friends!

Behind the Curtain at TMP

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how our costumes, makeup, set, music and rehearsal hours all come together to make up one of our TMP Mainstage productions. This preview also serves to assist parents in educating their children about an upcoming theater-going experience as a whole. 7PM free; no tickets needed. This is a behind the scenes event for Mamma Mia. I *think* this is suitable for tweens and up? What do you think?
