Storytime at Barnes and Noble stores Most area stores do a free, weekly storytime at 11AM; however, we do suggest calling yours to confirm first, as we have found participation to be inconsistent. It’s Bear Says Thanks today.
Crafts at Michael’s Half hour penguin themed crafts; 2.00/5.00 depending on age and craft. Click on, “Kids’ Club,” and then navigate to your store for details and registration.

Free Day at Renton History Museum
Renton History Museum (235 Mill Ave. S., Renton, WA 98057)10 AM – 4 PM Free 3rd Saturdays and 1st Wednesdays. Always Free for children 8 and younger. Regular admission is 5.00/2.00.
Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. All ages and abilities welcome; come prepared to help plant, mulch, and remove invasive species.
When the wolf is on the hunt for some succulent pork, the shakin’ bacon starts makin’ a sturdy, tooth-proof home for protection. This zany rendition of the favorite tale will have audiences, small and tall, rooting for the little porkers as they scramble to save their skins.
Tickets: $10. Call Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation at 253-931-3043 or order online for print-at-home tickets. All tickets subject to $1.00 processing fee.
Puyallup/Greater Pierce County
This free-family event will share the past and present Ukrainian culture. Activities for the day include folk art, music, and dance. These are always great events!
Annual event with a variety of games for all ages. I believe the, “Escape Room,” activity requires sign up; I think the others are drop in events.
Reindeer at Watson’s Nursery, Puyallup – ongoing! Donner and Blitzen are spending their holiday vacation at Watson’s! Quick, free outing-the reindeer are outside. Watson’s is also fun to walk through this time of year, though I wouldn’t do it with little ones who grab or with a stroller.
North Pole at the Fair, Puyallup –Woot! Reserve a photo time with Santa and enjoy a full afternoon at the North Pole, with an entire village just for kids. You can also go play at the pole without getting photos-tickets are just 5.00 for play without photos, and it’s such a great way to spend a rainy day! Meet Mik and the Beanstalk. Mik is a Certified Arborist happy to share his knowledge of the trees of Point Defiance with you; and the Beanstalk is a 186-foot Pseudotsuga menziesii, a.k.a. Douglas-fir, located a stone’s throw away from Fort Nisqually. Less than 500′ of walking required to participate. 9-10AM $4 per person

Join Kidical Mass Tacoma for our 4th Annual Cranksgiving family bike ride benefiting the St. Leo Food Connection food bank!
Meet-up at the 7 Seas Taproom entrance around 1:30 pm. We’ll roll-out at 2 pm, pedaling a 1.7 mile route to the Stadium Thriftway grocery store for a chance to try our hand at family shopping by bicycle. Riders will be asked to purchase a few items that will be donated to St. Leo Food Connection. Be sure to bring along some way to haul your food items on your bike – backpack, basket, trailer, etc.
Fantasy Lights Walk Your one chance to walk the light show at Spanway Lake before it becomes a drive thru event.
