Here’s your weekend list! As you’d guess there are lots of egg hunts and Easter events this weekend. But we also found new kids’ theater, nature walks, and even a circus! Note that while we have included some egg hunts in this list you can find many more here in our master guide!

All Over

Kids’ Club at Michael’s Stores 2.00/child for ages 3-8. Sessions are 30 minutes. It’s Easter Treat Bags and Bunny ears today.  There is also a slightly different version at the same time for ages 6+ for  5.00 and a Make Break free slime event from 1-3.

Storytime at Barnes and Noble stores Most area stores do a free, weekly storytime at 11AM; however, we do suggest calling yours to confirm first, as we have found participation to be inconsistent. It’s The Duckling Gets A Cookie?  today.

Tiger and the Dried Persimmon Puppet Show  at the Auburn Library

Edgemont Park, Edgewood egg hunt 10AM-12
The annual Edgewood Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by East Pierce Firefighters The annual Edgewood Easter Egg Hunt, also sponsored by Local 3520, starts at 10 a.m. at Edgemont Park, located adjacent to Edgemont Junior High School at 24th Street East and 110th Avenue East.

Bunny Patch at Thomasson Family Farm Enumclaw 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Visit the HCC Mast Center at Redondo The center and its touch tanks of sea critters are free and open to the public every Saturday from 10-2 Back open!

Easter Bash Saturday March 31st 12-3

Easter Bash is back!
South Hill Mall, in partnership with the Puyallup Food Bank, is offering FREE Easter fun for the whole family! Egg Hunts, crafts, face painting, balloon animals, giveaways and more!

Spring Treasure Hunt in Sumner hosted by Finder’s Market

Come down to this family friendly event! There will be pirates, a treasure hunt and lots of treats! Find the jar of gold coins and be entered to win gift cards and cash! Maps will be available. Note from SFM: This looks to be mostly a, “Come shop,” event but might be fun if your kids like pirates. We always recommend a stop at A Good Book.

Ask questions; get your seat checked. Complimentary with any SugarBabies car seat purchase; otherwise it’s just $20 per appointment. Appointments are recommeneded and run every 30-45 minutes. Easter Bunny at the Old Cannery in Sumner

11:00am-4:00pm Come down to The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse to celebrate Easter with your family! Complimentary Easter Bunny Photos and a petting zoo will keep your children busy for hours!

Folk Songs of the Civil Rights Movement with Adam Miller at the Summit Library at 11AM or the South Hill Library 2-3PM

The Civil Rights Movement inspired and made use of great American music. This sing-along program features folks songs that were sung from the Montgomery Bus Boycott to the March on Washington. All ages.

Easter at the Farm
at Four Star Farm in Graham Easter event to raise funds for  equine therapies. Pony rides, bunny pictures, concessions and items for sale.  Note from SFM: I don’t know anything about this event, and I haven’t been able to find more details, but it looks like it could be fun for animal lovers?

Kids’ Code Club at the Main Library

New Community Church, Wright Park and Jane Clark Park, Tacoma

Ages 0-11. Activities include egg hunting, bouncy castles, and more! Over 35,000 eggs will be hidden between both locations for the kids of Tacoma to find! Also, this year, at Jane Clark, we’ll be offering an egg hunt designed just for children with special needs. 10-11:30

Fircrest Park Egg Hunt

The Fircrest Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 10 AM. Fircrest Tot Lot for children 4 & under and at Fircrest Park for children ages 5-9. Join us at 9 AM at the Community Center for crafts, games, and refreshments before the event kicks off! Cost is free! Contact the Rec Department for more information.  253-564-8177

Easter Eggstravaganza Tacoma

  • FREE  annual Community Event from Sound Life Church with 40,000+ eggs. Easter egg hunts for ages (0-12 years), large-scale inflatables, pony rides($7), face painting, and more!

Pierce County Parks and Rec Egg Hunt in University Place at Chambers Creek

Free event with egg hunts, a bounce house, the Easter Bunny and more! Keep a look out for the special hidden “golden” eggs that hunters can turn in for prizes. Remember to bring your basket!

Spanaway/Lakewood/JBLM

 Egg hunt for children with special needs at the Prairie House Museum in Spanaway 9:30-11

Every kid loves and Easter Egg Hunt but some need more help than others to get around and find those eggs or just need an environment with a little less sensory input. The Spanaway Lions Club’s goal is to provide a safe and mobility friendly environment where kids can be kids and hunt eggs. The Prairie House Museum provides a nice area that is wheelchair/walker friendly for everyone to join in the fun.

Siblings (ages 5-12) are welcome to come and join their brothers and sisters in the festivities.

We try to have our Lions Club Easter Bunny there to greet the kids and hand out goodies and take pictures.

JBLM Easter Egg Dash

Everyone at JBLM is invited to the annual Easter Dash, a free egg hunt at Cowan Stadium Saturday, March 31. Bring your own baskets for each child. Also look for a surprise visit from the Easter bunny!
Special needs youth with parents can collect eggs at noon. Ages 3 and younger can collect eggs at 12:30 p.m., ages 4–7 at 1 and ages 8–12 at 1:30. All youth receive a free goody bag.
Cowan Stadium is located at 2170 Bitar Ave. at 12th Street, Lewis Main.

Peter and the Starcatcher at Lakewood Playhouse
 March 30th-April 22nd

The Science Dome is back open! Go see a low cost children’s show at the area’s only indoor planetarium. It’s so cool!!

The Hands on Children’s Museum will be here for crafts and fun activites, there will be a face painting station & a live performance by Studio West Dance Academy. It will be a hopping good time! 12-2 March 31

Tumwater 20th Annual Easter Egg Dash

At Tumwater’s Annual Easter Egg Dash, over 20,000 colorful eggs are nestled in the large grassy area behind the stadium at Tumwater High School, just waiting to be discovered.

11:00 a.m. – for ages 3 and under
11:15 a.m. – for ages 4 – 6
11:30 a.m. – for ages 7 – 10

O Bee Credit Union Egg Dash

Big thanks to Mixx 96.1 for presenting the 2018 O Bee Credit Union Egg Dash. Bring a basket or something to hold eggs, and KXXO Mixx 96.1 will take care of the rest! This FREE event takes place at the Regional Athletic Complex (RAC) in Lacey and offers kids 2-10 the opportunity to “dash” for candy and prizes hidden in over 18,000 plastic eggs. Every egg is stuffed with candy or a slip redeemable for a prize. In each age group, one egg will contain a grand-prize slip for a new bike and helmet from Falcone’s Bicycle Center.

Children ages 2-3 and any children needing special assistance will begin promptly at 11 A.M., with 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, and 8-10 year olds following in close succession. Parents: to avoid a disappointed child, plan on arriving early to find parking.

OFS Kids Club presents The Breadwinner

Parvana is an 11-year-old girl growing up under the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001. When her father is wrongfully arrested, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy in order to support her family. SAT 3/31 @ 11:00AM

Tossed overboard, stuck in a traveler’s knapsack, used as a scarecrow, renamed and reinvented, you will fall in love with our rabbit doll named Edward as he undertakes a life changing 20-year journey.

Visit the LOTT Wet Science Center for Stream Bug Spectacular Day.

Join Stream Team to discover the types of benthic macroinvertebrates (stream bugs) living in local rivers and creeks. Enjoy a brief presentation introducing facts about their habitat, role in a healthy ecosystem, and what they tell us about a waterbody’s health. Also, learn about future stream bug sampling events and how to get involved. Then use your best identification skills to explore live stream bugs from McLane and Woodland Creeks. Presentation and bug lab starts at 2 pm. Hands-on bug lab in the classroom all day.

Visit the South Sound Estuarium interactive marine discovery! Open 11-4 weekends at their new location.

Gig Harbor

Sehmel Homestead Park, Gig Harbor  Spring Egg Hunt 12-2   Suggested Donation $2/child

The event is held the Saturday before Easter each year at Sehmel Homestead Park. The Spring Easter Egg Hunt runs throughout the event so every child is guaranteed a chance to find eggs and win a great prize.
Egg hunts are divided into small age groups for children up to 5th grade. Families will have the chance to visit with the Easter Bunny and enjoy other spring activities.

Key Peninsula Civic Center

Hosted by the Boy Scouts on the Key Peninsula Civic Center grounds. Starts promptly at noon.

Any weekend fun: Your Michael’s does do the crafts (see All Over above). Check out the touch tanks at the Skansie Visitors’ Center; visit the Harbor History Museum (it’s free!); walk your downtown; see what’s going on at Discovery Village or the YMCA or visit one of your great parks or trails. Foursquare Church Easter at The Fair

We are so excited for our Easter services at the Washington State Fairgrounds this year! We know that God is going to move in big ways as we gather together in our community to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! We would love for you to join us! Our service times are Saturday, March 31st at 6pm, Sunday, April 1st at 9am and 11:30am. We will also be having a huge Easter egg hunt for all of our kids between our Sunday services. This is the perfect time to invite all of your friends and family to church!

Come enjoy the pristine beauty of Burfoot Park while indulging in some cotton candy, pictures with the Easter Bunny and of course dashing for over 6,000 eggs. This is a completely free event with all donations going to support The Safe House.
This amazing FREE event will be great for the entire family including activities for children of all ages.
