The Lantern Light Festival continues at the fairgrounds in Puyallup. I wrote about this event for Parent Map. Short version? The lanterns are lovely, but this is a Very expensive event that I would not recommend for most families unless you are super crazy about lanterns and lights. If you’ve gone and had a different take on it, let me know!

Visit the South Sound Estuarium interactive marine discovery! Open 11-4 weekends; 5.00 admission for the whole family!
Did you know there are more than 1,300 bat species worldwide? Drop in anytime throughout the day to learn more and enjoy a variety of bat-related activities. From 10 am to 12 pm, join Stream Team and local bat expert Greg Falxa for a lecture and bat house building workshop. Register for this workshop at www.streamteam.info/getinvolved/calendar.

New York International Children’s Film Festival was founded in 1997 to support the creation and dissemination of thoughtful, provocative, and intelligent film for children and teens ages 3-18. KID FLIX is a selection of short animated films from 2017’s festival programs, and features Audience Award winners Tiger, and Stone Soup, and more of our highest-rated shorts, including Crocodile, Mr. Night Has a Day Off, and Water Path for a Fish.
