Updated with new pricing info. 7/2019
We’re so excited to let you know about this amazing deal on admission to the Hands-On Children’s Museum in Olympia for qualifying families.
The museum has just announced a new partnership with the WSECU, and thanks to their generosity, the museum will be able to expand its programming, including offering free admission to the first two guests from any family receiving state basic food assistance through an electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card (each additional guest is $2.00). Isn’t that great? To receive the free admission, simply present your EBT card and your id.
If this doesn’t apply to you, I do hope you’ll consider sharing it with friends and family.
There are other free admission deals to the HOCM for all. Read on for all of them!
Seniors (65+): $11.95
Military / First Responder / Foster (with valid ID): $11.95
Babies (0-23 months) are free but a ticket is still required
Deals and Discounts
Washington State EBT cardholders: Two guests admitted free of charge everyday when presenting EBT Card and ID. $2 for every additional guest.
We also think it’s a place worth supporting with a membership if you can swing it. It will pay for itself quickly.
For still MORE free and cheap museum going, see our master round up here. It’s full of info. on how you can take your junior culture vultures to museums all around the South Sound for FREE! Note-I do believe the Timberland Regional Library still offers a HOCM pass for check out, but I need to confirm that.
By the way, if you’ve never been to the Hands-On Children’s Museum, it’s well worth a day trip. It’s absolutely huge with tons for kids to touch, explore, make, and do. You can easily spend the day! We have a post on it here with some tips for first timers. It’s an older one but still full of good stuff!
