Alex Zerbe, “Gravity Catastrophe Show, ” at the Lakewood Library 2PM He’s billed as a, “Prop comic.” Think half stunts and half jokes. My kids have seen him and loved him-there are some sneaky science lessons in his shows, too.
Children and all ages shows at the Pierce College Science Dome/planetarium The children’s show is H2O this week. Children’s show at 12:30 or 2PM; all ages at 3:15. The children’s show is shorter and interactive-now suggested for ages 3 up to 12. My kiddo LOVED it. Seriously-this is a Great outing. Go! You do want to buy tickets in advance or bring cash. Orienteering event in Lakewood at Ft.Steilacoom Park Find checkpoints using a compass. 20.00 day of registration; this event is open to beginners.

Visit the South Sound Estuarium interactive marine discovery! Open 11-4 weekends at their new location. You may want to call to confirm hours before you go.
Visit the LOTT Wet Science Center and learn about the life of bugs today. Registration is required for a lecture/workshop; bug themed crafts and activities are available all day as drop in activities. The center is free.
OFS Kids Club presents a free showing of Trolls at Capitol Theater Free for 12 and under; general admission is 8.00 or 5.00 for members. Doors open at 10:30; film at 11

30 Americans free community festival at the Tacoma Art Museum

Don’t look now, but many of your big kids will have a half day on Friday, and they should all be off on Monday the 14th in honor of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will have a round up of options up just as soon as we can-check back for that.
