Puyallup area readers, have you heard about the kids’ art classes offered at the Fred Oldfield Center at the fairgrounds? The beautiful art you see in this post was all done by kids in their classes! Really! Besides being super convenient, these are really affordable classes, and as you can see, these are not macaroni wreath projects!
Your kids will learn real art techniques as they draw, paint, and sculpt with instruction from real artists.
Classes focus on learning the 7 elements of design (line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space) through fun projects that explore various art mediums.
My older son did classes and camps here, and I was honestly blown away by the quality of the art he made and by the techniques he used. Reader, Sarah, wrote in to say how much her kids have loved them, too.
Classes run NOW through May 24th , and kids can start any time! They’re held at the center right inside the Red Gate.
Payment is by the month. Need based scholarships and weekly payment options available upon request. Register now to reserve a spot, as space is limited. There is a one time $10 registration fee per year to cover art materials. There are fun classes for all ages, and as you can see, I wasn’t kidding when I said they were affordable!
If you’re still looking for a gift idea, why not give the gift of art classes? I think experience gifts are a great choice for bright and creative children (and I know a lot of you have some)! For more information, visit the Fred Oldfield website or find them on Facebook. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org or head here to register online or for additional contact info.
