Enjoy FREE admission to national parks in celebration of the birthday of the National Park Service-all weekend

Lowe’s Build and Grow Advance registration is now requested for these popular, Free kids’ building workshops. It’s a Hulk figure today.

Color wars! Everyone is invited to fun and games at Brannan Park in Auburn from 6-8PM. 20.00 entry fee benefits Auburn Junior Football and Cheer. You can contact the  the league via Facebook or auburnpanthers@outlook.com or the website is auburnpanthers.org, however the event is a, “Just show up,” thing.

Mountain View Community Center Back to School BBQ in Edgewood  If you know a student in Puyallup or Fife in need, this is an Amazing opportunity. Free school supplies, dental check-ups, clothing closet, plus food and carnival fun. 10AM-2PM  All Free; child must be present.

Peyton List Meet and Greet  Meet the star of Jessie and Bunked! at the South Hill Mall at 1PM
Go Green Games at the Mel Korum YMCA 12-3 character appearance, bounce houses, variety of fun and games with an environmental theme. I think it’s all free.
Blacklight Slide event at the Puyallup fairgrounds  Slide down giant inflatable slides and get covered with neon glow stuff. 40.00 includes souvenir towel and an after party-does NOT include the required tube-Be sure to read the FAQs if you decide to try this-I also want to share that I had a friend who waited TWO hours to go down Friday. Crafts of the Past at Ft.Nisqually   Artisans demonstrate crafts from the 1800s each weekend and volunteers i period costumes share information about fort life.  Included with admission; we went a few weeks ago and had a great time. It’s an outing best for school age children with some interest in history. Weaving is the craft today. Also Sunday

Back to School Adventure with insect safari at the Tillicum Library (link opens pdf).  Learn about insects and see more than 2,000 specimens (Yes, this means lots of dead things…..) 2PM Free, drop in program

Bilingual Block Play at the Parkland/Spanaway Library  Young children can drop in and build! Open to all with a special invitation to Spanish speaking families today

Children’s and all ages shows at the Science Dome  Low cost shows in the only planetarium of its kind in the area Kids are now 6.00 and accompanying adults are free for the children’s; all ages general admission is 6.00 and students with id are fee

LeMay Summer Drive-in Movie Series August 27 @ 4:30 pm – 11:00 pm LeMay-America’s Car Museum, Parking starts at 4:30, with the show at dusk. It’s free, though museum admission is not included. Concessions available.
