Contributor Julie says she’s found a park in Bonney Lake that’s perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, especially if they love trains!
Today we took a drive down to Bonney Lake to check out the new-to-us Cedarview Park, and what a sweet little playground it is! While it does not qualify as a “destination” park, it’s a great one for locals, or those of us who live nearby and are in the area for a run to the Bonney Lake Target.
Cedarview Park takes up a large corner area in an older but well kept neighborhood just off Hwy 410. It’s the home to some beautiful towering cedar trees (hence the name), and large grassy areas. There’s a play structure with different things to climb and slide down, a swing set (for bigger kids and a separate one for the littles). The most unique feature of the playground is the train play structure designed for toddlers in mind. If you have a little train lover, they will delight in climbing on, through, and over this train! The front of the “engine” is a small slide, perfect for beginners.
The park is surrounded on three side with residential streets, but it has chain link fence to keep kids contained. Other park features also include a full size basketball court, tricycle path, covered picnic area, and lots of grass to run around and play on. There is also a small bathroom, and parking on two different sides. This park feels well loved, and well maintained, and we had plenty of company on a sunny weekday morning.
Cedarview Park is located at 9301 208th Ave E, Bonney Lake
