Updated for 2018
There are fun events all around Pierce County and the greater South Sound for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7th. I’m a bit late getting this up this year, but these are drop in events, and isn’t dropping over to say, “Hey,” to the neighbors what this is all about?
If you haven’t heard of National Night Out, this is an annual event meant to help prevent crime by getting neighbors out and meeting each other.
While there are still lots of block parties, there are now also many cities offering free, organized events that are not to be missed if your kids love vehicles, especially! Read on for a whole list by area, with links so you can confirm details!

It’s kiddie rock stars The Not-Its! Not to be missed!

And, hey, if there isn’t an event organized near you, it’s not too late to make something happen! Make a batch of cookies and go meet some neighbors!
If you know of another National Night Out event you’d like to share, just leave it in the comments-keeping in mind this is a public site, and I won’t be screening ’em! 🙂
PS While you’re meeting your neighbors, be sure to tell them about your favorite local site! You know….this one…..
