Did you know Michael’s does low cost, kids’ art classes weekdays all summer long?
It’s true! It’s hard to find these kids’ craft classes on their website, but we finally tracked down the link!
They’re calling it Camp Creativity this year. There are new projects every day, with cute themes and activities. Sessions are 5.00 a piece or 12.00 for three, which I think is very reasonable.
Kids 3 and up are welcome, and you can attend as many (or as few) as you like.
You can see all the choices here. Sign up can be done online or in store. Sessions are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (there is a different project each day) from 10AM-12 (I don’t think most projects will take the whole time).
Downside? You are expected to stay on site, so this isn’t going to work if you need a childcare option, and obviously, the weekday morning time won’t work for everyone. I do think this is another fun idea to have in your back pocket if your kids start to use the dreaded, “B,” word. It would also make for a fun group meet up, and it would be a stellar activity to send them to with the nanny or babysitter.
If you did any of these last year, I’d love for you to leave a comment! If you’d like to find an actual art camp, be sure to check our summer camp guide!
