Meet Midland Cooperative Preschool

May 9, 2016 by Maegen Blue

Are you looking for a fun, play-based learning environment for your toddler or young preschooler?

Could you stand to get out of the house and make some new friends for yourself? You need to meet Midland Cooperative Preschool!

Midland Co-Op has a unique model you won’t find at any other school in the area. They offer two hour long classes, once a week, just for children ages 1-3 and their favorite grown-ups!

Cooperative Preschool Midland

Parents and children attend each class together, and there is a parent education component built right in to every class. Children enjoy developmentally appropriate play and activities led by the children’s teacher, while parents enjoy a parenting discussion in the next room.

Themes change weekly and curriculum includes: Science, Art, Music, Manipulatives, Puzzles, Dramatic Play, Social/Cognitive/Physical Play, Large Muscle, Fine Motor,  and Sensory Table.

Each class also includes snack, music, and plenty of time to play with mom or dad and new friends, too! Potty training is not required, children are welcome to, “Check-in,” with mom or dad as needed, and a non mobile baby sibling can come along in your pack for no extra charge. Problems solved!

Midland is supported by 2 parent educators, 2 certificated preschool teachers, and a Bates Home and Family Life instructor. I can’t think of a better way to bond and learn with your little one!

Their bright and cheerful preschool is located in the Midland area, close to Highway 512 and convenient to families from Puyallup, Graham, Tacoma, Bonney Lake and Parkland. Visitors are welcome to observe a class at any time during the school year!

Ready to sign up? Children who are one by August 31st meet on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:30-11:30. Children who are 2 by August 31st meet on Wednesdays or Fridays.

They don’t have a set meet-up for these right now, but if you like the Facebook page you’ll get all the scoop on these dates.
