Need to know how to watch the Daffodil Parade, or looking for free family fun around Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Olympia, or your South Sound home? We’ve got you covered! We’ll be here in Puyallup watching our band kiddo march by. I hope you’ll be doing something great, too! Read on for a whole list of ideas.

Friday

Indoor Park at Pen-Met Indoor Soccer Center in Gig Harbor  Every Friday from 11:15-12:30; toys usually left up longer  2.00/child They also have a time on Tuesday mornings-9:45, I believe. For ages 2-5

Bounce Play in Gig Harbor  Free inflatable time for preschoolers and social time for parents hosted by Harbor Christian Church Missed it this week? You can reserve for next time-details on their fb page.

Spring Break SuperStars at the Point Defiance Zoo-special activities with the polar bears included with admission today. Note from SFM: The zoo does get spendy fast; we recommend an annual pass if you can’t take advantage of monthly free days for City of Tacoma residents. Read more of our favorite zoo tips here!

All Over

Let’s Play Story Time at most Barnes and Noble stores. 11AM   We do suggest calling your location to confirm, as we have found participation to be inconsistent.

Kids’ Club at Michael’s Stores  2.00/child for 30 minute sessions It’s a butterfly themed canvas today.  There is also a Shopkins swap event this afternoon.

Lowe’s Build and Grow  It’s a Bird Feeder today. 10AM Advance registration is now required for these popular, free kids’ building events.  If your store is full, be sure to follow us so you don’t miss future sign ups!

South King County

Visit the HCC Mast Center  at Redondo   The center and its touch tanks of sea critters are free and open to the public every Saturday from 10-2

Puyallup/South Hill/Sumner/Greater Pierce

It’s Daffodil Parade Time!  Cheer on princesses, floats, school marching bands, and more. Great, small town fun, and this year it’s sunny!  Go here to see the start time for your town. If you’re NOT doing the parade, do be mindful of road closures anyway.

Squishy Circuits at the Bonney Lake Library Explore circuitry and playdough! Register in advance at the library. For ages 6 and up

Lego My Library at the Puyallup Public Library  Stories and Lego building time 11AM

Family nature walk at Wapato Park  Join volunteer naturalists on free walks in Tacoma area parks. Not suitable for strollers; perfect for ages 3 and up.

PBS Playdate at the Children’s Museum  free, drop-in program themed around the Wild Kratts show today. 10AM

Block Play at the University Place Library 10AM Drop in and build!

Spring Fling at the Portland Avenue Community Center 11-1 Free fun for the whole family with crafts, a petting zoo, bounce house, and more.

Kids’ Code Club at the main branch of the Tacoma Library  Every Saturday

Play and Grow Story Time at the Wheelock Library  Also toddler and baby times at Main today.

South Tacoma/Lakewood/Parkland/Spanaway

Children and all ages shows at the Pierce College Science Dome/planetarium  Children’s show at 12:30 or  2PM; all ages at 3:15. The children’s show is shorter and interactive. Henry LOVED it. Seriously-this is a Great outing. Go! You do want to buy tickets in advance or bring cash. No cards are accepted at the door.

Olympia area

Captain Little presents Boy and the World at Capitol Theater  Free for kids 12 and under; 8.00 general admission; doors open at 10:30

Visit the South Sound Estuarium interactive marine discovery! Open 11-4 weekends at their new location.  .

Visit the LOTT Wet Science Center  Learn about bugs in soil today.

Gig Harbor/Kitsap

Our Town Family Program at the Harbor History Museum  It’s Japan today. 1-3PM Celebrate spring with cherry blossom crafts and more.

Sunday

2nd Sunday opening at the Morse Wildlife preserve in Graham  The preserve is open to the public one Sunday a month. This is a quieter, shorter, outing, but your children will enjoy the boardwalks and tower in this preserved piece of wetland. Very limited parking here-if you plan a group outing, carpool!  10AM-4PM  free, drop in

Seymour Sunday at Camp Seymour  Tour camp, participate in activities, enjoy a meal
