I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but I actually prefer the Spring Fair to the big one in the fall. It’s got that down home, old-fashioned feel, with all the things I love best about the fair-like baby animals and hobby displays-and less of the things I can do without-like crazy crowds and manic noise. I also love all the free things the Spring Fair offers for kids and families.
If you’re a Spring fair fan too, you might want to see if your kids would be interested in entering one of the Creative Kids contests. Admit it: Haven’t you been coveting one of those big, fluffy ribbons for years?
- Many school groups enter, but any child age 6-15 can enter as an individual, and there is a huge variety of categories from crafting to baking to egg dropping! You can read all the categories and rules here, and you can enter online here. Know some homeschoolers or kids who need a project for Spring Break? Pass it on!
