Take your Daughter Dancing!

Daddy Daughter Dance Tacoma, Puyallup, Fife, Federal Way

There are two awesome Daddy Daughter Dances in March.  If you’ve got a daughter that is strong in the Force, you won’t want to miss Lakewood’s Star Wars Father Daughter Dance on Saturday, March 12. Read with a Princess

The Daffodil Princesses will be at area Pierce County Libraries throughout the day on Saturday, March 5. Check out our calendar listing times for your local branch.

Love the Earth

On Saturday, March 5, attend the FREE South Sound Sustainability Expo, where there will be lots of kids’ activities focused on the areas of sustainability.  There will also be a book-movie-music swap, and a lot of other information and activities for adults, too.

Fort Steilacoom Park

Register by TODAY, Monday, February 29, for this exciting and unique family friendly opportunity at Fort Steilacoom on Sunday, March 6. The Cascade Orienteering Club and the City of Lakewood are sponsoring an awesome event where teams will use a map and a compass as they race to complete a mission by finding checkpoints on a map, just like treasure hunting!  This Training and Orienteering Course is only $15 for the whole family.

Looking for a way to get your child interested in the Symphony? Mini Maestros is the perfect start! Each of the shows in the series has been designed by early childhood experts. Parent Map South Sound Summer Camp Fair

While we are talking about celebrating the start of Spring, summer camp registration is on the horizon. Parent Map hosts their South Sound Camp Fair on Saturday, March 19, from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Tacoma STAR Center. Over 20 organizations will be on hand to answer your questions and plan your children’s summer adventures.

Celebrate the Luck o’ the Irish

Stop by the Tumwater Timberland Library on Saturday, March 19, to take in the Scoil Rince Slieveloughane Irish Dancers. Slieveloughane will not disappoint as the largest and most renowned Irish dance company in the PNW.

Take in Kid Friendly Live Theatre

On March 7, 11, and 12 the Olympia Family Theater presents Humpty Dumpty in an interactive show for all ages, but most especially the preschool set. Tickets are only $5/person and giggles are guaranteed. For the older kiddos, don’t miss the TMP Family Theater adaptation of James and the Giant Peach, weekends March 12-20. Meet the Easter Bunny

Capital Mall in Olympia hosts an Easter Bash on Saturday, March 26 from 11:00am-3:00pm. This FREE family event for families and children ages toddler-10 features fun, arts and crafts, lots of activities, and photos with the Easter Bunny (additional cost). Don’t miss Disney’s Frozen author Barbara Jean Hicks at Mystical Cupcakes at 11:00am.
