What kiddo doesn’t love a good treasure hunt? The Cascade Orienteering Club and the City of Lakewood are sponsoring an awesome event where teams will use a map and a compass as they race to complete a mission by finding checkpoints on a map, just like treasure hunting! Prior to the race, there will be newcomer instruction and training. Teams can choose the beginner, intermediate or advanced course. All of that for only $15 for the whole family! Registration for this unique event ends on Monday, February 29.
While this event is definitely family friendly, it may not appeal to those younger than 8. You know your kiddo best! If you’ve tried geocaching and it’s been fun for your family, this could be an awesome way to spend a Sunday! There will also be a Junior ROTC National Championship taking place, and some kiddos will be earning badges for Scouts.
