It’s the 2016 South Sound Father Daughter dance list!
Looking for a Daddy Daughter Dance around Puyallup, Tacoma, or your favorite South Sound spot? Here’s this year’s round-up of South King, Pierce, Thurston, and Kitsap area events for the special dads and daughters in your life!
It’s almost February, which means that many area parks departments will be holding Father-Daughter dances. This is a chance for your little girl to get all dressed up for a special evening with her daddy or another special father figure in her life. Typically there are also snacks or dinner. If you have more than one daughter, there is usually a small additional charge of around $5 or $10. You need not be a resident of the community to attend the event, but most do require you to get tickets in advance, and the events do vary as far as what ages are welcome. Be sure to register and get your tickets as soon as you can, because many of them fill up quickly.

If you know of another Father-Daughter dance, or dad and daughter event that I should add, just leave a comment, or give me a shout. I’d love to include it!
I am a single mom. I can never find any special things for moms. It’s always daddy daughter.
There are often mother/daughter events around Mother’s Day (we’ll have a list of them).
It is really hard to find mother/son things. There used to be a couple of them, but last year there was only one that I can remember. We’ll try to hunt down more! If you have a specific idea, you might give our friends at Pierce County Parks and Rec a call. They’re very open to hosting any kind of fun activity if they can get folks to go! Thanks for taking the time to comment!
I have helped at these events around the Sound for years and have seen many mothers bring their daughters. You are welcome to go- there are no restrictions. No one should question it. I hope you do go. 🙂
Camp Berachah (https://www.campberachah.org/family-programs—events.html) in Auburn has an annual Mother/Daughter Weekend in April. No Mother/Son, though. I’ve been going to their Father/Daughter & Father/Son for a few years now and the kids & I thoroughly enjoy both.

Great event for sure and one of very few mother/son dances. Have fun!
