Play and Grow storytime at the Tacoma/Wheelock Library Stories, rhymes, and fun for young children and their favorite grown ups. 10:30
Kids Code Club at the downtown branch of the Tacoma Library Kids 7-17 are invited for coding fun every Saturday morning
Family nature walk at Swan Creek Park Join volunteer naturalists for a free, guided walk 10AM Pre-registration is encouraged. Perfect for ages 3 and up; not suitable for strollers Note from SFM: parking is really tight at this spot-try to carpool if you go. There is also a walk at Wapato Park at 1PM.
Crazy Math Games at the Fern Hill branch of the Tacoma Library 1PM active math games and fun for kids in grades K-5
Children and all ages shows at the Pierce College Science Dome/planetarium The children’s show is Wild Weather. Children’s show at 12:30 or 2PM; all ages at 3:15. The children’s show is shorter and interactive. Henry LOVED it. Seriously-this is a Great outing. Go! You do want to buy tickets in advance or bring cash. No cards are accepted at the door.
Family Fun With Circuits at the Tillicum Library Learn about circuits and make your own! Includes take home activities. This is an activity for families to do together 2PM.
Alphabet Stories at Olympia Family theater Short, interactive theater shows perfect for little ones. 5.00-CASH or CHECK at the door.
Visit the South Sound Estuarium interactive marine discovery! Open 11-4 weekends at their new location. You may want to call to confirm hours before you go.
Visit the LOTT Wet Science Center Presentation on the history of toilets and sewers at 2PM. You know your kids will love this! Other, free science learning activities. The center is free to visit. Note that the link opens a detailed pdf
Our town: Family Program at the Harbor History Museum. England is the region today. Free program for families; learn the art of tea staining and take home a tea stained picture of the fishing vessel, Shenandoah 1-3PM Note from SFM: This will be handy to learn for all those future projects where the kids have to make something look old! 🙂

Free day for City of Tacoma residents at the Point Defiance Zoo proof of residence such as a utility bill and photo id required. Note from SFM: These monthly free days are part of a thank-you for a large tax bond city residents floated year ago. You have to be an actual resident of the city of Tacoma to be eligible for them.
