Update-This contest is now over. Stay tuned for other giveaways this week!

We’re doing at least three more great, holiday experience giveaways this week!

First up, I have tickets to a special encore performance of  The Magic Flute at a theater of your choice (you can see the list below).

It’s Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. and yes, this is the only show.

The Magic Flute is an opera, and this is a special ground breaking recording of a live show from the Met.  It features the whimsical humor and breathtaking puppetry of Julie Taymor’s hit production, presented in a shortened English-language version. Under the baton of Maestro James Levine with  a winning ensemble cast. I think it would be a friendly way to introduce your kiddos to opera or classical music in the familiar environment of a cozy movie theater. It would also be a fun date night, if you’d like to take a mid week break from all your holiday activities.

Best idea? Check out the trailer here to get an idea of what it’s like.

To purchase tickets, you can head here!

Or, you can win a pair! I have FIVE PAIRS to give away. Each winner will receive two tickets to see this special HD recording of a live Met performance of The Magic Flute. You can choose from the theaters below, but do note that it’s only showing Wednesday evening.

We’re going to do this one FAST, and we’re going to keep it simple!

  • For a first, required entry, just leave a comment and let us know why you’d like to win!
  • For a second, optional entry, sign up for our new newsletter! Yep, we’re launching a weekly newsletter in January of 2016. It will be a first peek at weekend events (and further out) for those of you who have let us know you’d like to do a little more advance planning. It will also have special newsletter only content as well as links to good stuff at the site. If you want to sign up, simply leave a comment saying, “Sign me up for the newsletter,” and we’ll add your email once we get going!

And, that’s it….Entries should be left as comments on this post. I will randomly select five winning comments Monday evening, and the organizer will be emailing winners. PLEASE leave an email you check!

Disclosure/Legal: We were provided tickets for this giveaway. I was not otherwise compensated. Sounds Fun Mom LLC has no official involvement with Fathom Events, or any listed venue. By entering, you affirm you are eligible and assume all responsibility for your movie going experience!

This is a GREAT deal everyone!

I’m a professional musician and haven’t been to one of these broadcasts only because the child price for tickets isn’t as much of a discount as child discounts are for live/local arts events 🙁
With three kids that adds up!

I hear these broadcasts are GREAT!
I’ve been to the Met in person 🙂

I’d love to win these so I can introduce my ‘9 3/4’ year old son (that’s how he describes his age when asked) to all types of culture and entertainment. This would be a great start. Thank you!
