Learn about wolves in Washington at the Lacey Timberland Regional Library 7PM. It says adults and teens. I think interested tweens would probably be welcome.

Grandparents’ Day story time at Barnes and Noble stores. 11AM. We have found participation to be inconsistent even when stores are listed as participating, so we suggest using the link to check for a location near you and then calling to confirm.
Kids’ Club at Michael’s Craft Stores It’s a bird feeder from 10AM-12 2.00 per half hour session

Superhero/Military Appreciation event at the South Hill Mall Vendors, swag bags, and appearances by Captain America, Spider Man, and Batman from 12-3. Free event.

Touch a Truck in Spanaway. Do not miss this free event for your little vehicle lovers!
Pooch Pool Party at Stewart Heights Dogs get to swim in the pool before it’s drained for the season! New this year is an option to do a two mile fun run first, and then have access to a runner only swim time (for the dog-people don’t get to swim). As you can imagine, there are some rules to this event you’ll want to review.
Play and grow storytime at the Wheelock Library
Visit the Job Carr Cabin Museum in Old Town Open 12-4 Wednesdays-Saturdays through September; 1-4 on the same days October-June Small, cabin replica A quick outing, but fun for children and free (donations welcome).

Crafts of the Past at Ft. Nisqually 1800s era crafts and trades are demonstrated each weekend. Included with fort admission. We think the fort is of most interest to school age children, but kiddos of all ages will love exploring the towers. It’s Native American beadwork today from 11AM-5PM Also Sunday
Children and all ages shows at the Science Dome presentations and shows on the overhead dome at the area’s only indoor, digital planetarium. Great, low cost, indoor activity-we really recommend the children’s version! Downtown to Defiance Walk, Run, Bike, or Stroll on the Ruston waterfront during a special open streets event with no cars! Other activities along the route-do as much or as little as you choose. Free!

Open Trails at the Morse Preserve in Graham Monthly opening; short but easy nature trails in this preserved space. Kids will like the bird watching tower and boardwalk.
