There are a couple of deal offers to the Puyallup ….’er….Washington State Fair right now over on Get My Perks.
Now, do keep in mind that your kids will come home from school with a free fair ticket, so you probably only want this for the grown ups in your group. One offer includes admission for two plus a 150 ticket fun card. One includes admission to the fair and to the new Star Trek exhibit, which is a separate, ticketed event. Both of them look like good deals if you’re not getting in on another offer, and you know you want to do rides and/or see the Trek thing.
You can check out both the Get My Perks Offers out here. It’s been a long time since this particular deal site has had much of interest, but I have used it several times in the past without any trouble.
The Star Trek Exhibit and admission offer is also available over here on Groupon. They had the same ticket and fun card offer, but sold out of it.
And, finally, I also saw the same deal on Living Social, but quite frankly, I’m tired of creating links. If you prefer Living Social for some reason, I’ll leave you to it.
Last year, we saw similar offers, but they did all disappear fairly quickly, so if these look good to you, you’ll want to get in on them now.
Do note that there are lots of other packages to The Fair, and I will definitely have some savings tips for you as well. I’m also going to have a giveaway (Hint, Hint) you won’t want to miss!
Hi – I have only been living in WA for a few years now, so, I’m not very familiar with Puyallup quite yet. I saw that there are fireworks on Friday nights. Do you know a good viewing spot to see them without having to pay for Fair admission?
Thanks!
I think anywhere above the valley…there is a grassy area behind the movie theater at the South Hill Mall where a friend of mine used to go to watch the sunset. I have no idea whether it’s technically private property (or a make-out area-lol), but I think it might work for you. Keep in mind the show is pretty brief-it’s not a full fledged 4th of thing, but hey-it’s fireworks! You can actually go to the fair itself fairly frugally-kids can get free tickets, and there is lots to see and do for free-you just have to stay away from the rides and the food booths. Not the easiest thing, I know. hth! Glad you’ve found Sounds Fun Mom!
