Every once in a while I get to write about something that feels life changing.
Am I exaggerating? Well, maybe, but just a little.
What’s the scoop? I just found out you can read digital magazines for FREE with your Pierce County Library card.
I am a total magazine junkie. Seriously, my idea of the perfect gift would be one long afternoon with a big (virtual) stack of mags.
I love that this lets you read all of your favorite titles without spending money on a subscription. It’s perfect for the ones you want to read every issue of, and those that just catch your eye from time to time. Personally, I always make time for Us Weekly (judge if you must), but I also love to sit down with a National Geographic if an issue is on a place or subject I’m interested in.
I also love that this lets me read them without having to deal with recycling them. Anyone else have paper overtaking your house?
I know this is one of those things that sounds almost too good to be true, but I promise it isn’t. All you need is your Pierce County Library card, and you can read any of dozens of awesome, new magazines for free. I’ve pasted the directions below so you can get going now. You can also find them, along with more information, here at the Pierce County Library website. If you don’t have a card, it’s easy to get one. If you’re new to the area, you should know that our library system is one of the very best in the country.
