Could you use a date night deal, Tacoma? I know how you can eat at some of our area’s best restaurants for less!
Yep, I’m taking an itty bitty break from all things kid fun to tell you about Tacoma Restaurant Week!
It’s This Week, and it’s your chance to enjoy a special menu at one of the area’s participating restaurants at a great price.
Three course dinners are 28.00, and select spots are also offering three course lunches for 15.00. While that’s still more than a Happy Meal, you’re getting a delicious meal at a stellar restaurant, and yes, I do suggest you leave the kids at home. Need a suggestion? Try Asado, Masa, or El Gaucho, especially if you’re a carnivore.
My husband and I have taken advantage of deals during Seattle Restaurant Week before, and we’ve always had fun. The special menus are just as delicious as the full versions, and the service has been excellent (You won’t get shoved in a corner by the kitchen because you’re taking advantage of a deal, in other words)! You do have to watch out for add-ons if you’re on a budget. Typically, the offer includes a starter, main course, and a dessert. Fancy drinks and so on are extra.
The event runs two weeks, April 12th-16th and April 19th-23rd. You can see all the participating restaurants, menus, and more right here. They also have a Facebook page with some pretty tasty looking pics.
If your budget is more family style than date night, you can always see our guide to where kids eat/free cheap right here. We also had a great time talking budget friendly home cooked meals on our Facebook thread yesterday. If you don’t hang out with us there yet, you should think about it. It’s fun!
