It’s almost time for another Lego event at Freighthouse Square in Tacoma! My kiddo has so much fun at these, and I promise your Lego loer will, too. Read on for a review of the last one, and a link to get your tickets! Pass it on!
Updated 9/30/2016 to add: This post describes the last Lego event at Freighthouse Square. Another one is coming up in October. You can score a deal on admission right now through Groupon. Find the link on our Deal of the Day page. You can get more information about this event, which runs October 7th, 8th, an 9th from 11AM-6PM. Admission at the door is 8.00 or head to our deal of the day page to save a few bucks with the Groupon. Read on for some pictures from the last event to give you an idea what to expect!
This event, which they are calling Brick Or Treat (How cute is that??), will feature a giant room full of Lego and Lego models. Kids can see creations by master builder Dan Parker and his crew and build to their heart’s content. They’ll also have lots of opportunities to interact with Lego artisans. We stayed for three (Yes, three) hours at the last event, and if it had been up to my boys, we would have stayed until 8PM!
As you can see, there is plenty of room for the kids to work and tons and tons of Lego. It’s not just a random assortment, either. There is a massive, intricate castle display, and the tables surrounding it are filled with-you guessed it-castle parts. There was a also a city section, a section with space figures and parts, a table for Bionicles, and several others. Now, the upcoming event won’t be exactly the same, but it will definitely be awesome! There will be an undersea section and a giant Lego octopus!
Every kid I saw last time was having a ball, and it was great to see grown-ups building along with them. Do bring a book or some pals, because, let’s be honest here-you’re going to get bored waaaaaay before your kids do!
You can get more information about all of it here at their fb page. The best admission bet is the Groupon I mentioned above. You can also buy tickets at the door. They’re come and go, so you can go get some lunch in the food court and come back for more if you want!
