Family nature walk at Wapato Park Join volunteer naturalists for a free, guided walk 10AM Pre-registration is encouraged. Perfect for ages 3 and up; not suitable for strollers
Children and all ages shows at the Pierce College Science Dome/planetarium The children’s show is amazing aurora ; all ages is flying monsters. Children’s show at 12:30 or 2PM; all ages at 3:15. The children’s show is shorter and interactive. You do want to buy tickets in advance or bring cash. No cards are accepted at the door.
Family movie matinee at the Tillicum Library 1PM Titles are newer, family releases
Block Play at the Parkland/Spanaway Library 10AM Drop in and play with the library’s blocks and building materials

Wastewater treatment tour at the LOTT Wet Science Center presentation and tour of the water treatment center begins at 1PM (Don’t say we don’t take you anywhere, kids….) Participants must be 10 and wear closed toe shoes.

Beach monitoring events with Harbor WildWatch in Gig Harbor The 18th-21st citizen scientists can participate in evening beach walks to collect data on critters visible during evening low tides. More details when you hover over the event on their calendar. You’re asked to email if you’d like to participate. I think this would be a neat opportunity for older children.
