There is a fun offer available on Dealsaver if you have fans of things that go at your house!
It’s a family admission deal to the Foss Waterway Seaport, a hidden gem on the waterway in Tacoma.
It’s a great museum to visit anytime, with lots of exhibits on the history of all things related to boats in our area and plenty for kids to do and touch. It’s a particularly good one for homeschoolers and similar groups, as you can incorporate lots of learning about history, science, trade, geography, and more.
This weekend is their special Steam Powered event, with blowing steam whistles, steam experiments, and more fun. If you have kiddos who enjoy boats, science, or history, I think this would be a great family outing.
There are also kits available if your family would like to build your own steam powered craft (there is an extra charge for these, and I’m not sure what it is-I’ll try to find out).
The Dealsaver offer will get the whole family in for 10.00-that’s half off and a nice price for an afternoon of family fun in my book!
If you don’t want to use it this weekend, it’s good through October 15th.
Of course, if that isn’t enough of a deal for you, there are lots of FREE ideas in the weekend list on the home page!
