If you’re looking for National Night Out events near you, go one post down!
A quick note for Tacoma area readers that tomorrow is the Walk Tacoma scavenger hunt. If you’ve ever wished you could go an Amazing Race style adventure, here’s your chance! You and the kiddos get to explore Tacoma as you solve fun clues!
This is the final event in a series of fun, summer outings put on by Downtown On The Go, a great community group whose mission is to get residents away from the one person/one car grind and moving towards walking, bicycling, and using transit instead.
Last year, I asked organizer, Meagan, how kid friendly she thought this event would be, and she told me her own kiddos who were 4 and 7 would be participating with their dad. She did say it probably wouldn’t be suitable for children who can’t walk far, and it’s probably not a good idea for the stroller set. I think kids who are readers will most enjoy the clues, but I think kids of all ages will love racing about town and riding the link. Just judge how much endurance yours have-keeping in mind that you don’t have to make it to every location.
I know several readers participated last year and had a great time. If you were one of them, I’d love for you to leave a comment! Check in for the event starts at 4:30 at Social Bar and Grill. You can get loads more information right here!
