Endangered Species Weekend at Northwest Trek! Win A Family 4 Pack Of Tickets!

July 17, 2014 by Maegen Blue

Update: This contest is now over. Congratulations to Kyra, whose comment was chosen by a random number generator.

Many thanks to all who entered. I’ve shared your enthusiasm with our friends at Northwest Trek, and I look forward to partnering with them again in the future!

Read on for the details on Endangered Species Weekend, or head to the home page for the whole weekend list!

It’s Endangered Species Weekend out at Northwest Trek, and our friends at this Northwest family favorite have a family 4 pack of tickets I get to give away to celebrate!

Endangered species weekend

Come learn about species that are endangered in our state and find out what you can do to help protect these animals and their habitats. Kids can make a mask and participate in a survival game around the park, enjoy special themed crafts in the Cheney Discovery Center, and much more.

Everything is included with your admission, which also includes a  50 minute tram tour around the 400 plus acre free roaming area (My kids’ favorite thing)!  It’s baby animal season at Trek, too, so expect to see bison, elk and caribou calves, bighorn sheep lambs and deer fawns. Oh, the cuteness! And speaking of cuteness….that’s my baby below on a tram tour. The bison pic is one of he took to give you an idea of how close you get! Tour drivers are trained naturalists, so you’ll also learn a lot.  Before or after your tram ride, walk the paths around Trek to see other animals including wolves, bears, and many more. It really is a special place.

Northwest Trek Tam Ride

Bison at Northwest Trek

Admission to Trek does add up, so I always advise getting an annual membership if you’d go more than twice in a year (You can add one to an existing Point Defiance Zoo membership). If you can’t swing a membership, you should know that you’re getting a really full day of fun for your ticket price.

The Endangered Species weekend is going on Saturday and Sunday. You can get more scoop about it here.

I’ve also got a Family 4 pack of tickets to give away. If you can’t make it this weekend, they will be good through the end of August. Woot! Read on for the easy-peasy contest details!

  • We’re going to make this giveaway Quick to allow for weekend planning. That means I’ll be choosing a lucky winner at noon tomorrow, July 18th, and I’ll need to hear back from you to claim your prize by 4PM. So, Please leave an email you check regularly!
  • Ready to enter? Just check out Endangered Species Weekend and leave a comment on this post telling us why you’d like to visit Northwest Trek with your family.
  • For a 2nd, optional entry, subscribe to my daily emails.  These are a once a day feed of all the posts from that day. Note that you’ll first get an email asking you to confirm you want to receive them before you’re officially a subscriber. Leave a separate comment when you’ve done this. Already a subscriber? Just say so!

And that’s it…..! I’ll choose a winner via random number generator tomorrow at noon. Good Luck!  PS If you’ve never commented before, I will have to approve it. Don’t panic if it doesn’t show up right away-it’s just because I”m at karate with Henry!

Disclosure: Our friends at Northwest Trek have provided the tickets for this contest. I was not compensated.
