Grand Slam Camps: Great Baseball Day Camps for South South Kids

July 15, 2014 by Maegen Blue

Looking for a baseball or softball camp for the kids this summer? Grand Slam Baseball Camps have fun sessions planned for Tacoma, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Sumner, and more South Sound locations. I’m especially pleased to have Grand Slam back as a sponsor this year because this is a camp I can personally recommend to you.

My big kid’s very first experience with baseball was at the Grand Slam Camp in Sumner two years ago, and  I’m happy to say he loved it! Everyone on staff is a high school coach and/or has played college or professional ball. They love the game, and they make sure the kids are having a blast and also really learning-it’s not just glorified babysitting. I saw kids of all levels there, and I was very impressed with how positive and encouraging the coaches were, while still giving lots of specific pointers. Your future all-stars can do the complete camp in the morning, and then there is an option of adding on an afternoon skills camp to focus on pitching, catching, or infield. The coach to camper ratio is low, so kids get lots of personal instruction.

They run both baseball and softball  camps all over the South Sound, and the price is very reasonable. If you have boys or girls interested in baseball or softball-whether they’re seasoned veterans or just starting out-I encourage you to check them out.

Disclosure: I was so impressed with Grand Slam that they were the first camp I approached about being a sponsor. I’m so pleased to have them back again. If you check ’em out, I do hope you’ll tell them you’re a reader. Thanks for that!
