Looking for the 2014 schedule for the Pioneer Park wading pool in Puyallup?
It can be hard to find the hours for this popular wading pool by the library, but I’m here to help! You’ll find the hours right below! You’ll notice they’re a bit different on Tuesdays due to the summer concerts.
Note that the pool is closed on Sundays, and there are daily times when it has to be completely drained and refilled. Try to avoid going during these times if your kiddos aren’t great at waiting! The playground structure by the library is currently being replaced. Look for the new one on July 23rd!
And here are the times it will be drained and refilled.
Finally, a few of you have asked about the water in the wading pool. It is treated, so it should be safe (though I probably wouldn’t drink it)! Yes, children are welcome in swim diapers with an appropriate covering. The pool is a true wading pool-kids won’t be able to swim, though they can get good and wet. It’s most popular with the tot set, and it turns into a regular kid soup by the afternoon, so try to go early. There are some benches parents can sit on. There is only one tree for shade, so wear a hat and sunscreen. This is the only wading pool in Puyallup, as the one at Grayland Park was filled two years ago. It’s due to be replaced by a more modern sprayground, but that isn’t happening until 2015.
