We’re so pleased to have the folks at Garfield Bookstore at PLU back as sponsors this summer.
Once again, they’ve got some Great programming to help your kids fight that summer brain drain.
This year, they’re offering a Young Adult Book Club!
The first session has passed, but your kids can get in one of the next two-no problem! All they have to do is read the book and show up at 7PM at the Fireside Lounge.
Book club discussions are lead by PLU students, and they’re just for teens 14 and up. Kids should read Conversion by Katherine Howe before coming to the July 25th discussion, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusack for the August 22nd session.
Now, I know lots of you have younger kids, so I hope I can count on you to pass this one on. What a great way for book loving teens to make new friends and benefit from the positive role modeling of PLU students. Plus, it’s never too early to be thinking about those college plans!
The Young Adult Book Club is my favorite price-Free! For more information, just head here.
Those of you with younger kids can also check out their great, summer reading program, and yes, there are just a few (like one or two) spots left in some of the culinary boot camp sessions.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I hope you’ll mention Sounds Fun Mom if your teenager checks out the Young Adult Book Club!
