UPDATE-We have another great reader event coming up, but I’ve had to change the date, so be sure to read the full post!
We had a super fun reader event in February, and I forgot to tell you about it!
I remembered just now because I’ve planned another one for you, and you’re going to love it!
First, a little snapshot of our last event to give you an idea of the fun in store for you. Our friends at University Place’s awesome cafe and play place, Frog n Kiwi, were nice enough to host, and we had a great group of reader moms and dads who brought their super cute kids to play. Seriously-SFM readers have the cutest, smartest little people. You knew that, right? Lynnae from Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles came and served up samples. She also served my cake-Yep, she and her partner Aly are big deal pickle people, but there she is schlepping my goodies. Such a sweet person. Buy some of their pickles when you have a chance. I do warn you-they’re addictive. My husband was seriously stoked to find them at Top Foods.
The kiddos played, did some crafting, and the parents had a chance to chat. Meeting readers is one of my absolute favorite things to do-so seriously-(big, belated) Thanks to all who came!
Now if you’re feeling bad for missing it, here’s the good news!
Our next reader event is right around the corner. This time, our sponsors at BounceEHouse are hosting. Your kids get to bounce for just 2.00 (Holy cow-what? Yep, it’s a deal!), and parents are Free! It’s Thursday, May 22nd (NEW DATE) from 5:30-7:30. Stay for the whole thing, or just come when you can. It will be a great way to get ’em ready for bedtime! BounceEHouse owner, Matt, will also have a special discount if you want to book a party at the event, and I do hope some of you will. I’ve heard nothing but raves about BounceEHouse parties so far, and we LOVE to support the local businesses who support this site.
You can mingle while your kiddos jump and play, and yes-there will be cupcakes, because it isn’t a Sounds Fun Mom event without a little something, something!
BounceEHouse is in the Midland area, making this perfect for my Puyallup area readers, plus those of you in Midland, Summit, Lakewood, and greater Tacoma. I hope I see tons of you! If you’d like to visit before then, you can read our original post about this new area spot here, and they’re still running a great offer over on Amazon Local, too. You can check that out at the Deal of the Day page.
You do need tickets to this event, mainly so we can have the right amount of cupcakes. Yours is Free, and your kids’ are just 2.00 each. Go here to get ’em.
PS I know May 22nd seems kind of far off, but seriously-buy your tickets now, because I do think this one will sell out, and it will help us hugely with our planning to know you’re coming! And, seriously-when else are you going to have an evening of family fun for 2.00?
Disclosure: The nice folks mentioned in this post provided free goods and services to put on these events. Please say, “Thanks!” to them when you have a chance.
