Play to Learn is back Special, collaborative story time and fun for preschoolers with the Children’s Museum of Tacoma at area libraries and community partners, including free, public sessions with our sponsors at Charles Wright Academy and Annie Wright. Use the calendar to find a date and session near you!
Our new sponsors at the Hands-On Children’s Museum in Olympia have special fun going on all week, including a “Dinosaur,” egg hunt coming up on the 19th. Be sure to ask about early bird specials for summer camp while you’re there.
The Tacoma Public Library and Pierce County Library system host their regular slate of story times for all ages as well as play to learn. Go to the date of your choosing to find one.
Check out a Free Museum pass from your library and turn your spring breakers into junior culture vultures!

Free Day at the Point Defiance Zoo for Seniors and people with disabilities. Maybe grandma would like to take the kids today? The zoo is spendy. SFM typically recommends springing for an annual pass if you can’t take advantage of monthly free days for City of Tacoma residents.
Your Brain on Words Kids’ book program at the Puyallup Public Library for kids in grades 3-6 based on Susanne Selfor’s books. Kids need not have read them to participate. Today is meet the author day. Kids can meet Susanne, get their books signed, and stick around to build a magical creature. Call to register.
Kids’ Book Club at the South Hill Library Kids in grades 4-6 are invited for book discussion and more. Register at the library and pick up a copy of the book at the help desk. It’s Holes today.
Mommy and Me Playgroup at Harbor Covenant Church Gig Harbor babys/preschoolers 0-4 and moms. 10-11:30 *Reader contribution, so I don’t have a lot more detail. Let me know if you do!
Lego Building Madness at the Lakewood Library Kids can drop in and play with the library’s Legos and other building materials 12:30-2
