If you’re concerned about keeping your kids’ use of technology safe and healthy (and aren’t we all??) you’ll want to know about a FREE workshop put on by our sponsors at Charles Wright Academy tomorrow from 6PM-7:30.
It’s the 10th annual Parenting In A Digital World Workshop hosted by Charles Wright Technology Coordinator Holly Gerla and Middle School Librarian Sam Harris. Certified parent coach Emily McMason of Evolving Parents will be returning to lead a discussion on a variety of issues related to kids, parents, and technology in the 21st century. They’ll be helping to provide advice on how to help your child navigate the ever-changing world of social media and how to help him or her create a responsible digital footprint. Guests will learn about the latest trends in technology, digital media, and social networks and hear about the latest research on how technology use impacts kids. It will be an interactive event, with lots of time to ask questions.
I know it can be so frightening to think of your kids out there on the world wide web-what a great way to feel informed and empowered instead! It’s open to the public and totally free. They are asking you RSVP so they know how many folks to expect. You can do that here. I hope you’ll also pass this on, especially to parents of tweens and teens you know.
