Need something to do around the South Sound this  weekend? Here’s a whole list of activities with lots for your family to choose from!

Snow White at ManeStage Theater in Sumner   Family friendly show with princess photo ops. after every performance. Bring your camera! Various show times through the 16th.

All Over

Kids’ Club at Michael’s Stores  Make a card today. 2.00 per child/ sessions start on the half hour from 10AM-11:30  For ages 3 and up

Worth the Trip

The snow play area at Paradise at Mt.Rainier is open! Updated 1/31/: Now open on weekends and holidays, weather permitting. Do check before you go, but the mountains have had some good snow lately.

South King County

Touch tanks at HCC Mast at Redondo  Free and open to the public every Saturday from 10-2  ****You can still look at the critters in the tanks, but you cannot touch them currently because of concerns over a disease that has been affecting the sea stars.

Tacoma/ Puyallup/Greater Pierce

Buy one get one free admission to the History Museum in the month of February when you wear Seahawks gear!  Very cool Seahawk totem there now!

Family Nature Walk at the Tacoma Nature Center  Metro Park staff and volunteers lead free nature walks. Free, but you’re asked to sign up. Not suitable for strollers or children under 3. 10AM
Winter farmer’s  market is open in Proctor today
Play and Grow Story Time at the Wheelock Library
Lego my Library at the Puyallup Public Library  build Lego creations inspired by stories  Free, drop in events
Get Geeky! at the Lakewood Library Science/engineering based activities for kids and parents based on the popular Geek Dad and Geek Mom book series. Free; registration required (13 spots left). 1-3PM  For kids 7 and up with parents
Family game afternoon at the University Place Library 1-3PM Drop in and play new or old games
Chocolate Festival at the Lakewood Library
1PM pop up card making event at 1 (I think this might be the Get geeky! event above, but I’m not sure….) There is a tasting/history activity for adults at the same time. All ages chocolate games at 2:15.
Valentine craft and treats at the Tillicum Library 2PM

Children and all ages shows at the Pierce College Science Dome/planetarium The children’s show is on Comets, Asteroids, and Meteors  Children’s show at 2PM; all ages at 3:15 is Back to the Moon for Good!

 Stunt Dog Experience show at the Broadway Center for the Performing arts in Tacoma. Tickets are a little spendy, but id does look super fun!
