Gosh! This post is kind of hard to write after yesterday. I’m not sure anything is going to feel like a highlight after that win. Wow!
I know some of you aren’t sports fans, and you’re probably tired of it all, but as a lifelong Puget Sound girl who has been watching since I was a little kid…..well, it’s going to take a while to let it all sink in!
Of course, one of the highlights this week is the big victory parade!
Another one is Our Reader Event on Friday! Seriously, now that we’ve gotten the Super Bowl out of the way, it’s time to get busy and pick up your tickets! This is going to be such a fun afternoon, and it’s totally affordable, too. I can’t wait to meet you! For more ideas, just click that, “Read more,” link….
In addition, there is the Cress release party, and really cute theater performances from Olympia Family Theater, and also for Olympia area readers-a lion dance for Olympia area readers, a special lion dance performance. There are also loads of library happenings all over! You can see it all in the calendar! Oh, and if you keep trying to go to a PBS Sparks! event at the Children’s Museum…get ready. There is one this Saturday, and registration opens at noon today. These are special collaborative story times at the museum featuring tie-ins with beloved PBS kids’ shows. This month’s is Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Spots in these are limited, and go lightning fast. So be ready to go here at 12, if you want in!
