Here’s an event fans of Marissa Meyer and her Lunar Chronicles books won’t want to miss!
It’s a pre release party for her new book, Cress, Tuesday, February 4th at PLU.
Marissa Meyer is the author of the mega hits Cinder and Scarlet-updated versions of the fairy tales you know with a sci-fi twist. Imagine Rapunzel as a computer hacker trapped in a satellite instead of a tower. Oh, and because these stories are set in an imagined future full of danger, there is plenty of page-turning action.
If you have a tween or teen, or you love, “Young adult,” fiction yourself (some of the best books I’ve read lately have been ya titles), you’ll definitely want to discover her if you haven’t already.
The party will be at the Karen Hille Phillips Center at PLU. You’ll be able to get your book signed and hear a talk from Marissa, plus there will be balloon art, henna painting, musical performances, raffle prizes, Free Food, and more! How cool is it to have a big deal event like this right in Parkland? Doors open at 6:30, and the party will kick off at 7. You can follow the event on Facebook or Marissa has her own Facebook page and a blog, too!
You will need tickets! You will get one emailed to you for free when you pre purchase your copy of Cress from Garfield Book Company. Tickets and books can also be purchased separately. Kids are Free, but they do need tickets, too. All tickets and pre-orders can be purchased easy-peasy, right here! There will be tickets and books available at the door, but seating is limited, so it’s really a good idea to get yours now!
Be sure to pass this on to fans you know!
