My favorite cyber Monday deals are discounts on great experience gifts!
Here are two to consider today!
First, the Pacific Science Center is offering a deal on their family membership today. This is seriously one of the funnest Seattle attractions for kids, and a membership pays for itself quickly. Today only you get a new or renewal family membership for 90.00. It includes all the benefits below, and get this-it’s fully tax deductible! Today you also get a 10.00 gift certificate to the Pacific Science Center store, and two extra imax passes. Now, you can get a cheaper family membership any day through Costco. It’s 80.00 and includes all of the same features, except for the 10.00 gift certificate and the extra passes. So, I’d say they’re pretty much equal-it’s just a matter of whether you want to go the Costco route, or buy directly from the science center today for those bonuses. You can also get 10% off other membership levels today (Costco only offers the family membership).
Covers up to six household members
-Two Membership Cards which can be used by anyone listed on the membership with valid ID
-FREE admission to permanent exhibits for one year
-FREE planetarium and matinee laser show passes
-Eight permanent exhibit guest passes
-Fifteen documentary IMAX movie passes
-Invitations to exclusive member previews and events
-Discounts on special engagement IMAX movies and special engagement exhibits, at Pacific Science Center’s Store, Café , IMAX Concessions, and on our programs such as Camps, Camp-In, Parent’s Night Out, Science with a Twist, birthday parties and more!
There are also Cyber Monday deals on Point Defiance Zoo memberships and experiences today. Today only, you can get 40.00 off a deluxe zoo and Northwest Trek combo. membership, or 20.00 off a zoo only deluxe membership. You’ll also get two admission passes to Zoolights! Now, these deals are on the Deluxe Household memberships. The Regular Household memberships are still a few bucks cheaper, but when you factor in the Zoolights passes, you’re basically getting the Deluxe Membership for the price of a regular Household Membership. The difference between Deluxe memberships and the Household level is that with the Deluxe membership you can take up to three guests with you every time-a great idea if you like to take along cousins or pals when you hit the zoo. If you wouldn’t use these, and you aren’t planning on going to Zoolights, then you’re probably better off just getting the regular household membership. You can also go free once a month if you live within the Tacoma city limits.
They also have a special offer on their shark dive if you’ve got someone really adventurous on your gift list (They do need SCUBA certification).
My family does get a zoo membership every year. While it’s a hefty chunk of change, it doesn’t take long for it to pay for itself, and we’ve had so many fun times here. We usually buy ours with Christmas money from the grandparents. If yours are o.k. with that, I think it’s so much better than more Stuff!
If memberships are just too spendy for you right now (Hey, I totally get that), no worries! I list tons of things you can do around here for free all year long! You knew that, right? Thanks, The Coupon Project for the scoop on the Costco offer, and thanks, QueenBeeCoupons for the alert on the zoo deal today. If you need to score some deals on more traditional gifts, these gals’ sites have been smoking lately!
