Kids’ Club at Michael’s Stores 2.00 per child for a 30 minute session. Sessions begin on the half hour starting at 10AM Duck tape mask making today. For 3.00 more they can decorate a t-shirt to make a full, “Costume.”
Lego Superhero Building Event at Toys R Us Stores 12-2 Kids can make and take Robin and the Redbird cycle These are min figure sized, but I have been consistently impressed with these events. They always have plenty, and Henry loves them. Keep in mind, the idea is to get you in a toy
Cra-z-Loom Bracelet making event at Toys R Us Free bracelet make and take event Every Saturday August 24th-October 26th 10AM-12 Always a good idea to call your local store to confirm. There is a good chance your kiddos will want to buy this bracelet making thing-which looks pretty cool!

Sponge Bob will be visiting the play area at the Outlet Collection (aka Supermall) between 11AM-1PM Bring your camera!
Saturday Storytime and Reading with Rover at Southcenter Barnes and Noble 11AM stories for children 3-7 and reading practice time with trained therapy dogs
Touch tanks at HCC Mast at Redondo Free and open to the public every Saturday from 10-2 Kids can touch a variety of sea critters
Tukwila Pool 40th Birthday.40 admission to open swim and more fun!
Visit the Lighthouse Museum at Browns Point Lighthouse Park Free and open 1-4 on Saturdays through November Small, but super friendly folks and lots for the kids to touch and try!
Pier Peer at the Point Defiance Marina special night time event-see critters drawn to the lights registration is required (lots of spots) 8.00/person; kids 8 and up We’ve done a couple of these with the boys and enjoyed them.
Haunted Theater at the Tacoma City Ballet Special back stage tours of specially decorated rooms. Costumed dancers and a performance. Children are invited to wear costumes. I have just a bit more detail about it in a post here! Tickets are 5.00 and 6.00 and performances are select Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from the 19th-27th.
Black Cat fun run at Point Defiance Family friendly, costumed run in the dark. Day-of registration is a spendy 40.00, but might be worth it if you’re avid fitness fans!
South Tacoma/Lakewood
Truck and Tractor Day at Fort Steilacoom! Big rigs for kids to explore, plus free pumpkins, hard hats, hay rides, and more!
