Want to go to Zoo Boo at the Point Defiance Zoo for free? ‘Um….heck, yeah, you do!
Our friends at Downtown on the Go are organizing this fun event they’re calling Bus to the Zoo (Boo)! to promote Try Transit month.
Participants will meet at the playground at Wright Park at 10:30 this Saturday and take the bus to the zoo. You’ll have time to enjoy the zoo and special zoo boo activities (lunch on your own) before heading back on your choice of two return trips.
Downtown on the Go staff will host the bus rides, and the Orca card and your zoo entry are free! Do note that it is a .4 mile walk from the bus stop to the zoo entry, so dress for the weather, and plan for the little legs in your party.
I think this sounds like a super fun event. I know there was a time when my guys would have found the bus ride more exciting than the zoo! I bet some of you have little transportation lovers, too. It’s also super rare to get deals to the zoo, so if you don’t have the funds to spring for an annual pass, I’d make sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
The only catch? It’s limited to 30 participants.
So, if you want in, sign up now by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Include the names of all participants and the ages of your kiddos, please. Sign up closes the 16th, but I’d do it now. Here’s the Facebook page for the event.
