Here’s a great offer from our friends at Tiffany’s Skate Inn!
Bring in a 4 pack of toilet paper (or larger) to donate to the food bank, and you can skate for free this Sunday, September 29th, from 12:30-3:30! Just pay for your rental skates!
Each family member who brings in a donation will get in free, so if you’re a little overstocked in this area, or you’re a thrifty shopper, this is a great opportunity to have some cheap, family fun! You do need to bring in one pack per skater-no trying to bring in a 12 pack for 3 (they can’t bust it up at the food bank)! And, “Bottom line,” it’s going to help folks in need!
Btw, while I think we can all agree tp is one of life’s necessities, it can’t be purchased with food stamps (these can only be used on food items). That’s why food banks welcome your donations of items like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products. Good to know, right?
If Tiffany’s isn’t near you, I have a complete list of South Sound roller skating rinks here. I know Rollin’ 253 in Tacoma and Sk8Town in Port Orchard have been doing some fun offers of late. Naturally, I’d also encourage you to donate as you’re able to your local food bank. Other items always needed include peanut butter, mac n cheese, tuna, diapers, and baby food and formula.’
