Looks like another glorious week of summer! I don’t know about you, but we’re going to have a hard time getting in back-to-school mode! If you have big ‘uns, it’s definitely time to work on those summer bucket lists!
Here are a few highlights from the calendar this week:
One more low tide event is tomorrow morning, Tuesday, at Owen Beach at Point Defiance. It’s Free, and naturalists will help your kiddos learn about the creatures they see revealed by the low tide.
Library programs are winding down. If your kids participated in a summer reading program, make sure they’ve claimed their prizes! If you’re near Dupont, you’ve got one, last chance to catch the Louie Foxx magic show Tuesday at 3PM.
Kids’ concerts continue in Bonney Lake and Auburn. Bonney Lake, you’ve got the reptile man tonight! His show with lots of creature friends is always a hit.
If you’ve been meaning to take the kids to a 1.00 movie, it’s the last week for those in most areas (Lacey, I think yours have finished already, but there is one more at the Cinemark in Olympia).
The Job Carr Museum continues to offer kids’ story times on Wednesdays. If you’re in the Auburn area, I noticed the popular kids’ Lego club on Wednesdays is no longer requiring registration.
Some of the biggest events of the summer are coming up this weekend, including the return of an all military parade in Tacoma, Maritime Fest, and the big Sand in the City event in Olympia. I’ll have some previews of those events coming later.
