Today is the 1st Thursday of the month (August-holy cow!) which means free admission to many Seattle area museums.
Closest to SFM, “Territory,” and totally worth the trip-is the Museum of Flight, which is free this evening from 5-9PM
The museum is a great place for kids, with tons for them to see and do. We’ve done these days before and found them busy, but not crazy crowded. I think it helps that it’s a big space.
It’s not a museum that participates in the free library pass program, so this is a good day to go.
In other news…..many of our favorite thrifty bargain bloggers are reporting Target toys on clearance should go to 70% off today. You may want to swing by yours if your gift closet is running on empty. I used to use this sale for Christmas gifts, but sadly the boys’ tastes have grown and gotten lots more expensive. If you weren’t by yesterday, be sure to scroll down for the posts you missed, including a really Awesome contest with low entries so far.
As always, there is also plenty on the calendar. It’s a little misty here (maybe the parks system will lift the burn ban at Washington State Campgrounds?), so we’re going to clean up the boys’ rooms. It’s not on any of our bucket lists, but it’s well past time to tackle them. I do have other posts coming today-if I make it. Wish me luck!
