A quick reminder that many areas are kicking off outdoor concerts and shows for kids this week.
Today, you can catch Son of Reptile Man in Bonney Lake at 11, or head to Lacey this evening for Ian Dobson and his calypso band.
Tomorrow, Recess Monkey plays in Auburn, and it’s Tickle Tune Typhoon in Kent.
The Auburn concerts are at the awesome (and popular) Discovery Playground and Rotary Sprayground in Les Gove Park.
They’re also right next to the White River Valley Museum, and kids can stop in and do a, “Hooked on History,” craft from 10:30-11:30 before the show! Cool, huh? I’m quite sure these are free, but I”ll try to double check. This is a small museum, but it’s kid friendly, and run almost totally by volunteers, who are always just thrilled to see your kiddos.
This is also a free meal site in the summer! That’s a lot of fun in one stop (do expect a crowd)!
There are also summer concerts in Gig Harbor on Tuesdays. While not geared towards children, the touch tanks from Harbor Wild Watch are there.
You can get the full line up of concerts and shows here. If that’s not your thing, there is plenty in the calendar today, too.
It’s another 1.00 movie day, just to start!
