Ooh, Tacoma-here’s another great, free activity for your kiddos this summer!
Each one hour session will feature a story followed by a craft. They’ll be on Wednesdays through the summer.
I’ve written about Job Carr before. It’s a tiny museum, but fun for kids, and the volunteers just love to have them.
It’s also next to a small, but recently renovated playground.
Or, walk down the hill to Ruston Way and the waterfront when you’re done! Just be mindful of the train tracks.
What else is up this week? Frankly, I’m having a hard time keeping up with it all! In addition to the usual fun, there is also a new, free lunch and activity at Redondo next to the HCC Mast Center. I’m hoping for more details on this, but maybe if you’re close, you can check it out and report back!
Tacoma Public Libraries have magic and juggling shows this week. Many Pierce County branches have puppet shows. One note on these-I did contact staff, and they let me know that 6 and up is a recommendation based on attention span. Feel free to take younger children who could sit through a show. There are also many library programs for school age kids. Note that many of these require registration, but as always, you can go to programs at any branch, whether or not it’s your home branch.
Oh, and Olympia? You’re about to get your very own aquarium and marine life center!
You’ll find many, many more ideas for your family in my calendar, and in the drop down, “Summer Fun,” menu up above (If you’re looking for a Vacation Bible School this week you can head here).
