Looking for things to do with the family this weekend?  If you live near Tacoma, Auburn, Lacey, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Olympia-or somewhere in between-I’ve got you covered!

Metro Parks Tacoma Presents James and the Giant Peach Shows this weekend and next. Pre purchase tickets are 14.00 adults/8.00 kids   All tickets at the door are 20.00. Performers are students 3-18 from Metro Arts programs

Northwest Pinball and Arcade Game Show at the Tacoma Convention Center  350 games all set on free play! Ad says it’s family friendly-I’d love to know what you think if you go! Adults are 20.00/kids are 15.00 Weekend passes and military discounts available; a few bucks less on Sunday

Crafts of the Past at Fort Nisqually  Each weekend, artisans demonstrate a craft that would been used in the 1880s. While not a total bargain, a trip to the Fort is fun for most children and a good resource if you have one doing some kind of report. Scrimshaw is today.  Also Sunday

Get your, “Undriver’s License,” at the LOTT WET Science Center  Center is free and open every weekend. Today’s theme is on different ways to get around town without cars. At 1 and 2 rides on a new hybrid electric bus are available.

Meet Us on the Beach  Explore low tide with volunteer naturalists from the South Sound Estuary Association  11:30-2:30 at Priest Point and Burfoot

Olympia Family Theater presents Cinder Edna  3 0r 6  also Sunday’
