Critter Club at the Point Defiance Zoo Program for preschoolers with stories, crafts, and animal encounters. Fees required; does not include zoo admission. Advance sign up holds your place and saves you 2.00. 8.00 member child/10.00 non-members/12.00 day of registration Henry and I did a few of these, and they were excellent. 11AM

Kids’ Club at Michael’s stores. It’s an fox craft. 2.00 per child sessions on the half hour from 10AM-11:30; you’re invited to shop while they craft.
Lowes Build and Grow Advance registration required for these popular, free programs. This is mainly a reminder if you’ve already signed up. Right now, I see two spots left in Bonney Lake, but every other store looks chock full. You could always sign up for the next one!
South King County
Water Weekends with HCC Mast at Redondo Every Saturday visit the center for free and get up close with sea critters in their touch tanks
Saturday Story Time with the Cat and the Hat at Southcenter Barnes and Noble 11AM Stories and costumed character appearance
Spring Fairy Festival in Auburn at Green River Community College A celebration of all things fairy, with a costume parade, kids’ crafts, entertainment and vendors Tickets are 5.00 for kids; 15.00 for adults
Tacoma/Greater Pierce
It’s Daffodil Parade time! Even if you aren’t planning on watching, be aware that there will be street closures and traffic delays in cities on the parade route. Link has much more info and hyperlinks to maps of all cities on the route.
Daffodil Carnival Carnival event in the Tacoma Dome parking lot. Free admission; charge for food, games, and rides. I’ve never been to this. If you know more about it, leave a comment, won’t you? Lego My Library at the Puyallup Public Library 11AM Story time with Lego building
Family Day at the Karshner Museum in Puyallup Small, but kid friendly museum. Free admission; human body theme today. 10-2 Website isn’t up to date, but I promise this is going on. Be sure to smell the stinky elephant foot!
Princess Party at Meridian Habitat Park 13.00 Pre-registration was required, but you can always call and see about getting in
Family Nature Walks with Metro Parks It’s Swan Creek today. Free,guided walks with a naturalist. Recommended for ages 3 and up; not suitable for strollers. You are asked to sign up.

Family Fun Begins in the Dirt Program to teach dirt bike riding and safety for six and up.
Family Day at the Museum of Glass Special activities on 2nd Saturdays. Included with admission; you could try to score a pass from your library
Get Geeky! event at the Lakewood Library. Moms and dads are invited to come make fun projects with kids 7 and up. Based on the Geek Dad books. Registration required.
Pierce College Science Dome Shows Special shows for children every Saturday at 2PM in the amazing new dome theater at their Lakewood campus. Tickets just 3.00; adults free! Link also has info. on other public shows.
